Digital Edition FAQs

About Our Digital Apps

Cricket offers digital editions of all 11 of our magazines for children for both iOS/Apple and Android/Google Play platforms. You can access these digital editions in two ways: by buying magazine subscriptions from Cricket Media that come with the digital editions or by purchasing digital subscriptions through iTunes or Google Play.

In September 2015, we replaced our old digital editions with brand-new apps in partnership with Zinio, one of the biggest and best mobile magazine providers in the world, to make it easier and more enjoyable to read across devices and platforms. With these new mobile apps, you can read new editions the moment they arrive. You also can sync your magazine library offline and across all your devices.

How do I buy a subscription?

Subscriptions can be purchased online from Cricket Media at http://shop.cricketmedia.com. Simply select the magazine you are interested in, then choose the digital or print plus digital option. You can also purchase digital subscriptions directly via our magazine apps on the iTunes and Google Play stores.

I purchased my subscription directly from Cricket Media. How do I sign in to the new magazine apps?

If you, or someone you know, purchased your subscription directly from Cricket Media, you will need to set up your account using the email address provided with the purchase. You can verify the email address that was used by logging into your Cricket Media account at shop.cricketmedia.com/myaccount.

If you are unable to locate your password, please use the Forgot Password button on the Sign In page of the app.

If your subscription is a gift, please encourage a responsible adult to confirm the email address on behalf of the lucky recipient! If we do not have an email address for the recipient, the email address of the purchaser will be used.

Please note that you will not be able to login using your old username and password.

If you need additional assistance logging in, please feel free to contact us at digital@cricketmedia.com. We are here to help.

I purchased my subscription in the old app. How do I sign in?

If you purchased your subscription through iTunes or Google Play rather than directly from Cricket Media, you should contact iTunes or Google Play Support for a refund. You can then create a new account and repurchase your subscription from the new app. We apologize for this inconvenient set of steps.

Why did you replace the old digital edition apps?

Our old apps were sometimes challenging to access and use, so we have given them a well-deserved retirement. In addition, some of their features - like games or interactivity - distracted young readers and did not work well across platforms. In working with reading experts, we opted to replace the old apps with an easier to use digital experience that keeps the reader focused on the content and not bells and whistles. This inspires the deep learning that comes from fully immersing yourself in a fantastic story or fascinating article.

How will I access back issues of my magazine?

We have moved your most recent back issues into the new app. So current customers who purchased a digital subscription from Cricket Media before August 2015 will have access to the four most recent back issues of your magazine subscription within the new apps.

Are digital editions free with my new print subscription?

Digital editions aren't free with the print subscription, but you can purchase a digital and print subscription together for the best deal. Visit shop.cricketmedia.com to join our mailing list for special pricing and offers.
